*SOLD*OOAK Posable Lemur-Tailed Ferret by Blue-Lizard *SOLD*OOAK Posable Lemur-Tailed Ferret by Blue-Lizard
He's one of the kind (ooak) posable art doll.

Rascal's head and paws are hand sculpted from polymer clay, painted by acrylics. Each claw have extra wire to made them more resistant. Body was hand sewed from faux fur,in belly I put small pouch with grit to made him more stable. Inside is wire armature, so he is fully posable. Armature was wrapped in synthetic filling so Rascal is quite fluffy:)
Total lenght, from tip of nose to tail end - 81 cm (about 32 inches)

Rascal is SOLD!
************************************************************
He's acctually my second OOAK I've made. First one still need few details to work on.

Anyway, sorry for the invariable light on photos. Checkered weather was really annoying by few last days.
Rascal is based on ferret, when comes to body building and gereral shape of paws and head, so he's species name with wich I'll be sticking is Lemur-Tailed Ferret. Even if
It might be not wisible on photos, his tail is sewed from seven rings, in two colours - white and ecree.

When this little urchin was still a pecil sketch, I assumed he would be able to sit upright. Durning sculpting I've find out that will be impossible - his head was simple to heavy. Not without sorrow, I've abandoned this objective and concetrate an general armature strengthening. So you can imagine my suprise, when shortly after finishing him I found out he acctually can sit straight! Little scamp, isn't he?

I must direct my huge thanks to *Isvoc for beeing my inspiracion. I've saw OOAKs made by her, and fallen in love in art dolls. Go, and check out her creations!

Another really big thanks I've own to two persons - Ilona Ludwikowska and Małgorzata Tylek.
Ilona is my former co-worker, which gived me many starting tips about sewing and clue how to sew faux fur creatures like him. Thanks babe for beeing so patient for me.I can only imagine how anoying was my babling about this project:)

Małgorzata Tylek is my aunt - she gave me bunch of more advanced sewing technices, and suported me by good word. Thanks a lot auntie:*

Thank you!
I think first time is hardest. I never sew before my ooaks, so I really didn't know how to bite it. So it's really good to have some people around who can give you few advises:)

Impressive for a second doll! The whiskers are an especially nice touch. Too few posable art dolls have them.
I, too, have found that once the batting/stuffing and fur is on, the weight distribution and stability improves.

Thank you very much! Second at all, but first posable, so most time I was just siting and thinking "how I'm suppose to make his do that?" X)
I really would like to give to my dolls that kind of details, which would made them as close as possible to animals on which they were based :)
And shame I didn't know that. Probably I would make few things different, but well, I know it now. But anyway, with every doll we can learn something more, which I really find as a amazing thing.

Yes... I improve upon each of my dolls too. There is a lot that you have to learn as you go; there is only so much that can be reasoned out ahead of time.
